Elder Care Consultants of Texas was founded by Ralph Zatzkis after almost forty years of practicing law.

Ralph received his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from Louisiana State University as well as a Master of Laws degree from New York University.

When he decided to leave his law practice, Ralph’s parents were both in their mid-nineties and 200 miles away from his home in Dallas. He knew that he needed the time to make frequent visits to their home to ensure that they were receiving proper care and assist in their estate management.

With one of his siblings who also lived hundreds of miles away from their parents, the two began sharing responsibilities and in retrospect, would have appreciated the help of a care manager: someone to help manage the affairs of their parents, which included home health, companion and hospice care, home maintenance, finances, real estate investments, and explore alternative living arrangements.

Although his parents had made some good estate planning decisions, managing his parents’ estate and care long distance with his brother proved to be challenging. Ralph realized how much he and his parents could have benefited from having a care manager in his parents’ hometown to assist his siblings and him with daily elder care issues.

After almost 40 years of law practice, Ralph's experience caring for his own parents led him to create Elder Care Consultants of Texas. Let him do for you what he did for his own parents.
